The Faceted Search is a powerful tool that represents a more complete search function when compared to the quick search. The faceted search allows you to search for entities of a type while gradually restricting the applied criteria, as you enter the criteria, the search updates the results.
If you click on the quick search and press Enter without typing text, you can access the faceted search. Note that, besides the entity type, at least one criterion must be selected for the system to return search results.
From the faceted search, you can do the following:
- Opening the detail page of the returned entity by clicking on the respective entity link.
- Performing actions on individual returned entities.
- Saving the current search for future use.
- Using previous searches available in the search history.
- Exporting the results into an Excel sheet
- (simply click the export Excel icon in the toolbar of the faceted search pop-up window).
- Selecting one or multiple portfolios.
To select a portfolio, you can access the faceted search, click on the “Actions” button of the corresponding portfolio and then click on “Add to selection”.
To select multiple portfolios from the faceted search, select the portfolio checkboxes on the left and click on “Add selected portfolios to selection” of the “Actions” button of one of those portfolios.
To select all the portfolios resulting from a search, click on the checkbox at the top and proceed as previously explained.
When clicking on Master data > Assets > Master data you will land on the asset master data page. You can search for any asset available in the system and visualize important related information which is displayed based on the asset type.
